The trays were kept in the lower 80 to 86F in near fog-like conditions with plenty of in-chamber air circulation via a small fan and frequent ultra sonic mistings (you can’t easily overdo it if you use a thin casing since basically overlaid mycelium keeps any mold from forming on the casing). Heat was added by ways of a large bed of water with aquarium heaters in it. The casing fully colonized (overlaid which is fine for this species) after 2 days. I saw the first pin on day 7. I stopped all ultrasonic misting at this time, except as the RH controller needed to keep the RH above 95% (this was switched on and off with a Dwyer humidity controller… awesome gadget to own for growing). The fruits seemed to develop well at 95% RH and about 78F to 82F. Several more pins formed in days 8 and 9, but the overall pin set was not very impressive compared to other strains I’ve grown. All mushrooms were harvested on day 11 and 12 (as measured post casing). A couple of the fruits were freakishly large, as is characteristic of this strain. I would place the largest caps at about 2″ or even more in diameter. The majority were much smaller and completely typical looking panaeolus cyanescens goliath .
Aside from the larger caps here and there and the fairly sparse pin set, I didn’t notice any difference from the other strains of Pan Cyans I’ve grown. I wouldn’t grow this one again because I didn’t see anything too impressive with it (unless they are super strong or something) panaeolus cyanescens goliath .
As an aside, all the aluminum trays were heavily pitted by the mycelium at the surface level of the casing. I have not noticed this before but maybe I just hadn’t noticed. I am not sure what’s eating the aluminum up like that. Panaeolus Cyanescens Mushroom Spores
How to use Panaeolus Cyanescens Goliath Spores
- Wear a mask and gloves or disinfect your hands properly
- Shake the vial well to mix all the contents
- Sterilize the syringe we are going to use
- Sterilize the septa on the top of the vial
- Remove about 0.1 US fl oz. (3 ml.) of spores with the syringe (0.1 US fl oz. (3 ml.) is enough for 1 US qt (1 litre) of substrate)
